Non-positive anchoring (expansion) in solid building material
Positive anchoring (knotting) in the cavity or on plasterboard and lightweight panels
Locking wings on the expansion segments and locking edges on the dowel neck prevent the dowel from turning
When installing on hollow walls or masonry, the version with a collar is preferred because it prevents the dowel from slipping into the cavity
